Clean energy is not a pipe dream anymore. Canada has the resources and workforce to be at the forefront of cleantech and clean energy sectors in order to combat climate change that can thrive to the test of time. There was some bad news though such as:

  • Flooding will be common, as 1-in-a-100-year flooding event on key cities can become a 1-in-a-15-year event
  • Wildfires are annually getting worse
  • Plenty of people died due to heatwave

On the flip side, there was also some good news:

  • There are around 300,000 jobs offered in the clean energy sector as of 2017
  • The clean energy sector is growing 33 percent faster, with more jobs being created
  • Canadians have the means to lessen the effects of climate change while reaping the economic benefits
