Canada has been leaning towards full reliance on clean energy. However, the said developments can only be pushed towards success if the policies align with them. With that logic, the government has to make key decisions based on the data presented and the commitment of the business sectors.

Canada’s government has now prioritized policies regarding climate change under the Pan-Canadian framework. This means that from investments to infrastructures, all have to be aligned with the climate goals which includes cutting pollution and saving money through seeking energy alternatives.

The released budget is aimed at five key aspects: public transportation, green infrastructure, trade, rural communities, and remote communities. One of the key issues to be tackled is carbon pricing wherein the demand for technologies generating high-carbon footprint is being discouraged.

The goal is now set, but the challenge to incorporate policies on infrastructure investment and pollution reduction together remains critical.
